#13 of 30 Countdown to 8-18-2012
Late Hours in the Studio
Ok - so time marches on. My calendar countdown has me down to less than 2 weeks. I'm working on this Trefoil that is really testing my concentration and strength. There's also 4 other pieces that I'm working on at the same time that I would love to be part of the show. My days are getting hotter and longer in the studio but I can say that this is going to be one of the most incredible shows I've ever had!
T Barny has been creating sculpture professionally for over 30 years. He studied at both Stanford and Brown Universities, and was graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design. Abstraction is his fascination, and power tools are his forte. All materials have artistic promise in them and T Barny has worked with every type; hot glass, neon gas, bronze, wood, water, steel, and stone. From one foot high tabletop sculptures to twelve-foot tall corporate monoliths, T Barny releases inherent forms out of materials from all over the world.
The natural forms & geometric shapes that science creates are reflected in T Barny’s work. His goal is to create works that reflect the magic and wonder in our world. Known for his seashell-like, mobius forms, T Barny’s work often provokes the response; ‘how does he do that?’
