When was the last time you were in Carmel? Join me this Saturday, August 16th at the Titus Contemporary Gallery. Mary Titus, owner, is hosting a reception for me from 4-7pm. At 5pm I will be giving a quick 10 minute talk about my new work, the stone and tools. Mary, an abstract painter, has her work on display creating dramatic accents to my colorful bronze patinas and stone sculpture. She has 16 of my pieces featured in her gallery, front and center. It's a show to see plus it would be great to see you on Saturday! San Carlos between 5th & 6th, Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA
T Barny has been creating sculpture professionally for over 30 years. He studied at both Stanford and Brown Universities, and was graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design. Abstraction is his fascination, and power tools are his forte. All materials have artistic promise in them and T Barny has worked with every type; hot glass, neon gas, bronze, wood, water, steel, and stone. From one foot high tabletop sculptures to twelve-foot tall corporate monoliths, T Barny releases inherent forms out of materials from all over the world.
The natural forms & geometric shapes that science creates are reflected in T Barny’s work. His goal is to create works that reflect the magic and wonder in our world. Known for his seashell-like, mobius forms, T Barny’s work often provokes the response; ‘how does he do that?’
