PLASSEIN, Persian Onyx, 21in.x 18in.x 17in. T BARNY 2012
Hi There - It's been awhile. Well, my only excuse is that I've been in the studio. I've had a great rhythm going lately and I'm very pleased with what is emerging in my work this year. You can have a first "Look See" at a local show I'm doing this Saturday, June 9th from 5-8pm. It is at the downtown gallery that represents my work: JUST FOR YOU GALLERY OF FINE ART, 115 Plaza Street in Healdsburg, CA. justforyougallery.com Great weather - low 80's - so come on out, see what I've been up to and enjoy the evening.
T Barny has been creating sculpture professionally for over 30 years. He studied at both Stanford and Brown Universities, and was graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design. Abstraction is his fascination, and power tools are his forte. All materials have artistic promise in them and T Barny has worked with every type; hot glass, neon gas, bronze, wood, water, steel, and stone. From one foot high tabletop sculptures to twelve-foot tall corporate monoliths, T Barny releases inherent forms out of materials from all over the world.
The natural forms & geometric shapes that science creates are reflected in T Barny’s work. His goal is to create works that reflect the magic and wonder in our world. Known for his seashell-like, mobius forms, T Barny’s work often provokes the response; ‘how does he do that?’
