Went to a wedding this past weekend in Charleston, SC - now they know how to throw a wedding and celebrate all weekend long. Great city! It was fun but nice to be back in the studio. I have quite a line-up of galleries and shows this 2014 Season. If you're on my mailing list, then you got your card. Kicking off in June, my new sculpture will travel from Healdsburg to Carmel and onto Santa Fe. Check out my work at these galleries: Titus Contemporary Gallery and Hunter Kirkland Contemporary Gallery. Charleston on my mind...have you ever been there?
T Barny has been creating sculpture professionally for over 30 years. He studied at both Stanford and Brown Universities, and was graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design. Abstraction is his fascination, and power tools are his forte. All materials have artistic promise in them and T Barny has worked with every type; hot glass, neon gas, bronze, wood, water, steel, and stone. From one foot high tabletop sculptures to twelve-foot tall corporate monoliths, T Barny releases inherent forms out of materials from all over the world.
The natural forms & geometric shapes that science creates are reflected in T Barny’s work. His goal is to create works that reflect the magic and wonder in our world. Known for his seashell-like, mobius forms, T Barny’s work often provokes the response; ‘how does he do that?’
