New Work for Utah Show!

My new pieces are on a truck right now that is heading to Park City, Utah. The gallery, DISTRICT, will be hosting a solo show of my work. I'm flying there for the art reception which is this Saturday, January 16 from 5-8pm. Join me if you can. Park City is a huge tourist spot for avid skiers. The gallery owner told me yesterday that they haven't had any snow since Christmas but it is definitely cold. I'm excited to be showing in Utah; love the rock there. There are 18 pieces in the show some of which I carved from Utah Calcite and Utah Rhyolite. Here's a picture of the newest Rhyolite piece. It's called "Sarissa" and measures 27"H x 6"W x 6"L. In my recent press statement, DISTRICT gallery owner, Karen Snizik Alvarez, is quoted as saying "I'm so excited to have T Barny in the new 3000 square foot space. His work will be beautifully complimented by the light and tall ceilings. I want people to have room to walk around each piece to visually get the full impact."
