T30 Logo for "30 Years of Sculpture"

T BARNY SCULPTURE NEWS
Have you ever driven around looking at all the houses you once lived in?  I had a chance to do just that on my recent trip to the east coast.  It's such a flashback to my childhood when my inspiration to create was stirring.  I had some great instructors who allowed me to explore my artistic direction which led me to 30 Years of Sculpture.  We have a lot planned this year celebrating my 30 Years.  Mark your calendars for 9+10+11=T30, September 10, 2011 from 5-8pm.  The big event will showcase my life as a sculptor and benefit the Alliance Medical Center.  The event includes catering by Zin, music by the Linda Ferro Band and a "T30" live and silent auction.  Also available will be my new "T30" Coffee Table Book.  Tickets will be $30 each or $50 per couple and be available August 1.  You can contact my marketing director lori@tbarny.com for more information.

T BARNY SCULPTURE NEWS
I'm still in Connecticut today.  It has stirred a lot of fond memories being back on campus at Choate Rosemary Hall; my show started here last Saturday.  I graduated from here in 1975.  Bringing my newest collection of sculpture to Choate and reconnecting with family, friends and collectors has been very rewarding.  I have to say though, I'm always anxious to get back to California and get back in my studio.  As an artist, I crave my studio time.  These 14 new Connecticut pieces will travel in May to the Broadhurst Gallery in Pinehurst, NC.  I just spoke to Judy, the gallery owner there, and she said that she is as fascinated with me as an artist as she is with my work.  When collectors purchase a T Barny, they are choosing to live with the essence of a T Barny Sculpture.  I am my work, my work is me.

On A Jet Plane to Connecticut

T BARNY SCULPTURE NEWS
Traveling today ... on a jet plane to Connecticut.  I graduated from Choate Rosemary Hall in 1975.  Now I'm headed back there after a 30 year career to display my sculpture on campus in the Paul Mellon Arts Center.  It's an honor to come back to Choate; I have so many fond memories of those days.  That time in my life continues to inspire me and my work today.  14 of my newest pieces will be meeting me in Wallingford, CT tomorrow for unpacking and setting up of the show.  I'm hosting a special one day preview of this new exhibit on Saturday, April 16th from 1-5pm.  Join me if you can!  Choate Rosemary Hall will host another reception for me during Alumni Weekend on Friday, May 13 from 5-7pm.  On this April trip, I will travel to Boston and New York to seek out the "Gallery Scene".  Stay tuned for what's next.
