T BARNY SCULPTURE NEWS What do you see out your window? I see new window stickers. Nice to have this project underway. Power tools were buzzing in two locations here at the T Barny Gallery & Sculpture Gardens today - the window installer and me in the studio. It makes me think about my designs - my "windows on the world". I core drill openings or "windows" to start the pieces. It's an interesting perspective at any angle to view through the sculpture and look upon it's environment. Looking through my pieces becomes an interactive quality that helps you visualize your surroundings. And, because many of my pieces turn 360 degrees, your "windows" can have 360 views. Enjoy looking at my newest work at: www.tbarny.com

Juror to Auctioneer

T BARNY SCULPTURE NEWS
I love the ocean! My trip to Cambria this past weekend was exciting. I was asked to be the "honored juror" for the 8th Annual Stone Symposium. Lot's of great work to view and judge. It actually was a bit of a challenge to decide where the awards should be placed. I'm happy to report that all of my chosen award winners pieces sold at the show. They even had numerous people interested in the same piece so it was decided to auction it off and I became the auctioneer. The piece pulled in $5000 which in part goes to help the Symposium. I visited with the students, the instructors and the vendors who were selling tools and stone. I'm now back in my studio with new inspiration and, of course, new stone.

ARTrails 2010
T BARNYSCULPTURE
NEWS
Spring is around the corner which means it is time to apply to our Sonoma County ARTrails program. It is a two weekend event in October where approximately 140 artists open their studios to the public.
This year ARTrails will be celebrating its 25th year anniversary. I was one of the artists who helped coordinate and put together the very first ARTrails. Back in 1985 we were looking for a way to get the public to our studios. The program took off from there. There were not any other counties or towns doing this at the time. Now you can find other areas with Open Studio events.
I have many fond memories over the past quarter of a century. Everyone seems to love my studio tours and see all of the power tools. I also invite everyone to enjoy my Gallery & Sculpture Gardens. I look forward to participating again this year. You can find out more about the program at: www.sonomaarts.com/artrails
